Personal Data Processing Policy
Under Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 “On Personal Data”. Version of 26 September 2026.
Operator
The personal data operator is Limited Liability Company “BAIKAL GUIDE” (OOO “BAIKAL GUIDE”). OGRN 1257800098401, INN 7814857260, KPP 781401001. Registered address: apt. 357, bldg. 1, block 3, 66 Komendantsky Ave, Kolomyagi municipal district, St Petersburg, 197376, Russia. Email for personal data requests: hello@baikal-guide.ru. This Policy applies to all personal data the Operator receives through the Baikal Guide website (https://байкал-гайд.рф, the “Site”).
Terms
Terms such as “personal data”, “processing”, “data subject” and “operator” have the meanings given in Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 “On Personal Data”.
Principles
The Operator processes personal data lawfully and fairly, only for specified legitimate purposes, without excess, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
Data subjects and data
Site visitors: IP address, device and browser details, cookies. Registered users: username, email, avatar, comments, ratings and saved routes. People sending a message or tour request: name, email, phone number or messenger handle, message text. Newsletter subscribers: email. Special categories of data and biometric data are not processed.
Purposes
Registration and account access; saving favourites, publishing comments and ratings; handling tour booking requests and feedback messages; sending newsletters with consent; keeping the Site running and secure.
Legal grounds
Consent of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(1) of 152-FZ); performance of a contract with the data subject or entering into one at their request (Art. 6(1)(5)); requirements of Russian law.
Consent and withdrawal
By submitting data through the Site’s forms, the data subject consents to its processing under this Policy. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by writing to hello@baikal-guide.ru. The Operator then stops processing and destroys the data within 30 days unless the law requires otherwise.
Procedure and retention
Processing includes collection, recording, systematisation, accumulation, storage, updating, use, transfer (provision, access), blocking, deletion and destruction of data, with and without automation. Personal data of Russian citizens is recorded, systematised, accumulated, stored, updated and retrieved using databases located in the Russian Federation (Art. 18(5) of 152-FZ). Data is kept until the purposes are achieved or consent is withdrawn, then deleted or anonymised. Account data is kept until the account is deleted; messages and requests for no longer than 3 years.
Third parties
The Operator may entrust processing to the Site’s hosting provider and share data with the guide or partner running a booked tour, to the extent needed to organise it. No cross-border transfer of personal data takes place.
Data subject rights
Data subjects may obtain information about the processing of their data, demand its correction, blocking or destruction if it is incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, unlawfully obtained or no longer needed, withdraw consent, and appeal to Roskomnadzor or a court (Art. 14, 17 of 152-FZ). Requests go to hello@baikal-guide.ru; the Operator replies within 10 working days.
Security measures
The Operator takes legal, organisational and technical measures to protect personal data from unlawful access, alteration, copying, disclosure and destruction (Art. 18.1 and 19 of 152-FZ): restricted access, password encryption, HTTPS and backups.
Final provisions
This Policy is publicly available on the Site. The Operator may amend it; a new version takes effect when published on this page. For any personal data questions, write to hello@baikal-guide.ru.
