General
This Policy explains what data is processed when you use the Baikal Guide website (https://байкал-гайд.рф, the “Site”) and how it is protected. The Site is operated by Limited Liability Company “BAIKAL GUIDE” (OOO “BAIKAL GUIDE”). By using the Site you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. Details of personal data processing are set out in the Personal Data Processing Policy.
What data we collect
Data you provide: name (username), email and avatar when you register and in your profile; name, email and message in the feedback form; name, phone or messenger contact and comment in a tour booking request; email when you subscribe to the newsletter; your comments, ratings and saved routes. Data collected automatically: IP address, device and browser details, interface language, pages visited and cookies.
Why we use it
To register you and provide your account, favourites, comments and ratings; to contact you about a tour request and answer your messages; to send the newsletter if you subscribed; to keep the Site running and secure; to comply with Russian law.
Legal grounds
We process data based on your consent, the need to perform a contract or take steps at your request before entering into one (e.g. booking a tour), and where required by Russian law.
Cookies and third-party services
The Site uses cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language and cookie-banner choice. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features will stop working. The map page uses Yandex Maps (YANDEX LLC), which may receive your IP address and set its own cookies under its own terms. Social media buttons are plain links and share no data until clicked.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. Service providers acting on our behalf (hosting and site infrastructure) may access data to the extent needed for their work, and data may be disclosed to authorities where required by law. Guides and tour partners receive only the data needed to organise a tour you have booked.
Storage and security
Data is kept no longer than needed for the stated purposes or required by law, in databases located in the Russian Federation. We take organisational and technical measures to protect it: restricted admin access, encrypted passwords and HTTPS connections.
Your rights
You may ask what data we hold about you, request its correction, blocking or deletion, withdraw consent, unsubscribe from the newsletter, and complain to Roskomnadzor or a court. Write to hello@baikal-guide.ru; we reply within 10 working days.
Children
The Site is not intended for children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have received such data, let us know and we will delete it.
